Toby Aberdeen shooting for glory

Platinum powerhouse Toby Aberdeen is giving it his best shot in a bold bid to make 2025 his best year yet.

The Sport Newcastle favourite has set his sights on further success after cementing his position as the UK’s leading junior pistol shooter.

After finishing second in March’s British senior trials, a fired-up Toby went one better earlier this month.

And those back-to-back results secured top spot in the junior rankings and the number two berth on the senior ladder.

May sees Toby compete in the Junior World Cup in Germany ahead of the Junior World Championships in Paris.

“Toby has a long association with Sport Newcastle and he’s very much one of our own,” said Mike Booth, who chairs the Sport Newcastle Awards Committee.

“I’d like to say we’re right behind him every time he steps up to take a big shot — but then that might put him off!”
