Swing into summer with Sport Newcastle as the region's corporate community comes together for one of the most talked about golf days on the North East calendar.
Sport Newcastle's Mike Booth takes immense pride in staging a welcoming event that raises thousands of pounds for athletes, clubs, coaches and the wider community.
The 2026 Sport Newcastle Golf Day takes place on June 25 as teams battle it out for the George Bayley Trophy at Ponteland Golf Club.
The 2025 event saw The Hoof Hearted Enquiry (pictured below) take top spot with more than £6,000 raised on the day.
The Texas Scramble (teams of four) format features a one tee start from 10.30am to 3pm (teams will be given a choice of starting times). Further details will be provided nearer the date.
Included in the cost (tbc for 2026) are coffee/tea and a bacon sandwich on arrival, a round of golf and a meal afterwards.
Prizes
£200 for first, £100 for second, £50 for third, and par 3 nearest the pin prizes.
We can guarantee an excellent day’s golf with lots of fun on one of the North East’s premier golf courses. At the same time you'll be contributing to a long established charity that supports and encourages sport for young people in the region.
